Cossacks: European Wars (2001)

genuinely one of the worst games i have ever played, you should be given a badge of honour to sit through this pc nightmare i cant find the excuse to give this game for its many downfalls, i remember when it came out being quite optimistic, you could field thousands of troops on the map- which couldn't be done until that point firstly the game is incredibly spiked with speed, on the normal mode your villagers do this stupid fast walk- its obvious its not right your villagers can be captured by any military unit, which is ridiculous when you think about it, 1 unit could walk into the biggest city and capture it if you combine those 2, you get super fast Cossacks running across the map at super high speed capturing your entire faction in 1 go- this is simply not what the game is supposed to be about, its cheap and rubbish there are many other problems with the sound, the game crashing, strange resource management- as soon as you fire a cannon your coal rapidly drops all the time i seem to remember the same thing applied to stone with building walls the greatest shame is the potential of this game was amazing, the ships are massive and you can have big destructive battles, the same could be said of pitched battles in the city streets
