The amount of gimmicks in Story Mode kind of brought my thoughts down, but overall I liked the various modes of Tetris and Puyo Puyo.

The jokes are pretty generic but the voice acting really sells it. Some characters, however, do become a bit annoying when hearing them multiple times so It's better when you take a few breaks rather than blow through quickly but the gameplay challenges will make you want to keep going. The challenges are varied although I feel the second to last level in most acts have an extreme difficulty spike. I also find Puyo Puyo harder than Tetris but that's probably due to familiarity. I already knew how to play Puyo Puyo in a basic sense but wasn't aware of the importance of chaining. To get three stars in some of the Puyo Puyo challenges you really need to be able to make chains greater than 2. I still haven't quite figured out how to do chains consistently. The game did force me to at least try. I have not tried any competitive modes. There are probably individual versions of these games that exceed what you get in this game but having never played them I am completely satisfied with this game's renditions of Puyo Puyo and Tetris. But I hate the fusion of the two.
