I've been having fun lately revisiting some of the Sonic games that didn't hold my attention in the past. Case in point: Sonic the Fighters!

Honestly, this game's pretty fun. The fighting is simple but approachable (especially on PS3/360, which feature expanded difficulty settings), and it's wild to see these characters modeled and animated in such detail for 1996. It's got some rough edges, to be sure, but as an oddball Sonic spinoff, I think it punches a touch above its weight.
