Craziest Meh

I used to own this game back in the day for my old Pentium PC, and I somewhat remember favoring this a lot. going back to this game with the PS2 version might not be the best justice for the game out there, but it is generally a solid port.

I used to own this game back in the day for my old Pentium PC, and I somewhat remember favoring this a lot. going back to this game with the PS2 version might not be the best justice for the game out there, but it is generally a solid port.

I might've done something wrong playing this game, because this must be the most boring I have ever felt playing a video game in my life. I literally know what I'm expecting from this like the back of my hand, and the nostalgia rush did not do anything to carry it which made me feel frustrated with the game. I remember trying Crazy Taxi 3 earlier this year, and had much more fun than with this entry.

I just can't see myself returning to this, and I feel like it is best left in history. I will remember this game with the fun I had as a kid, but nothing else.

Good, Fare, Fun

I played the heck outta Crazy Taxi in the Arcades when I was a kid. I believe it was one of the first core arcade memories I have, from seeing that glorious cabinet in the summer of 1999. A lot of cans recycled back then and a lot of change spent on driving strangers to their destination like a maniac. …

The graphics are colourful and inviting and the driving is responsive and fun in an 'arcady' way. There's a few different characters/cars and enough variety in fares and locations to keep you playing for hours - going for that new PR. Eventually I played the Dreamcast version, which was awesome too from what I remember. Crazy Times. Crazy Taxi.

Where's Crazy Uber?

YA YA YA YA YA!!!

I want to live in Dreamcast San Francisco forever. I've been told that the PC version of this game doesn't feature the rampant product placement or the iconic soundtrack by The Offspring and Bad Religion. That version should be destroyed with fire.

Crazy Taxi - A Blink's Worth of Crazy Fun

I mean, it's meant to be played in short, arcade-y bursts and doesn't really go out of its original setting all that much, but Crazy Taxi is an exercise in messy but tightly wound fun.

I mean, it's meant to be played in short, arcade-y bursts and doesn't really go out of its original setting all that much, but Crazy Taxi is an exercise in messy but tightly wound fun.

Taking place as a taxi driver who finds customers here and there to drive from point A to point B for cash during a time limit, Crazy Taxi drives players to be as desperate as possible, ignoring all types of physics and damage that would usually get the player in trouble with the cops in Grand Theft Auto or fined in games like Burnout. What it all comes down to is a race to cut as shortly as possible, with fares that usually last from 20-50 seconds.

The graphics are sparse but the game is deliciously smooth, giving the feeling of high octane speed as the player hilariously speeds and crashes through anything in their path. Play this for a short moment and you'll be satisfied, just as long as you're not feeling the need for replay value.
