8.2/10 5/10 characters, writing, cut-scenes, were cringey throughout the whole game. 8.5/10 story was slow at first but picked up with the discovery of gaia. 8.5/10 gameplay was frustrating at times but mastery of multiple weapons was fun against the machines

Oh man this game is good. I don't want it to be this good, but it is.

I'm enjoying my time with this game, but I think it's a big turning point for me. Historically, I'd get absorbed into side quests and collection hunting. But here? No way. I've skipped every side quest, and just motored through the story. Another big difference is the way I'm treating bosses. I hit a boss I couldn't beat (because I was severly underleveled thanks to ignoring side quests). Instead of getting aggravated and beating my head against it, I just put the difficulty on "Story Mode" and beat it easily. I switched the difficulty back to Normal, and I felt great about it.

I'm playing games for a different reason now than I used to. I used to feel more pride from beating difficult things, or having achievements. But I don't feel that anymore. I just want to play around...and it feels great!

Started this today. Plays well. Story is a little...eh we'll see where it goes. Not sure I'm up for an open world game, though. I've picked so many berries in my time...I don't know if I want to ever pick another berry in a video game. I'm just ignoring side quests, which is odd for me. I usually do it …

I've picked so many berries in my time...I don't know if I want to ever pick another berry in a video game. I'm just ignoring side quests, which is odd for me. I usually do it all. But this game's been on my to-do for a while, and I have promised myself no new game purchases until I finish 5 of my backlog games.

Just got the platinum for this a couple days ago. Absolutely phenomenal game. Despite this, there is still a lot of room for improvement - and that's not a riff on the game either. There is still room for growth and it makes me excited for the future of the IP.

Climbing improvements are one suggestion, make Aloy more adept at climbing mountain faces to plough over them and aid in exploration. I'd also like to see more caves that she can discover, old skyscrapers, even bunkers left by the old world that has loot at the end. Horse controls definitely are the weakest part of the game too which need improvement. These are just a few things that stand out that can help enrich the next game.

Oh my God this game looks so beautiful and is a pleasure to play. This has got to be one of the best games I've played this generation I'm only about 6 hours in and already hoping for a sequel.

Thunderjaws. I think I could manage the actual Thunderjaw, but the machines that keep interfering... they make things harder.

What do children like? Robots and Dinosaurs. What does Horizon have? ROBOT DINOSAURS. Besides those, the game has beautiful graphics and great gameplay, and keeps me coming back for more.

This was a satisfying win! I stumbled upon Cauldron Zeta probably a bit before I was supposed to. I love that there are no enemies inside the cauldron on the way to the boss. It’s enough that you’re going to have to fight a Thunderjaw. Or better yet, the devs took pity on the poor fool about to fight a …

Let's see, at least a 4 out of 5. Probably the most beautiful Sci-Fi game I've ever seen. I'm level 25 now, depending on how it continues it could qualify for a 5/5 :)
