As with any horror sequel, it just doesn't compare to the original. Tormented Fathers was such a surprising entry in the survival horror genre and think they set the bar too high for themselves.
Though the premise is much the same, Broken Porcelain lost the thick eerie atmosphere that was felt throughout the first game, although the new locations are built nicely and show reference to some iconic horror films.
Aside from the lack of tension, the AI for the enemies have been dumbed down too much and rarely give chase unless you go looking for them, could be a bug. A new skill set system has been implemented but really doesn't seem to do much in terms of enhancing the characters abilities.
Story wise this game attempts to be a sequel and prequel at the same time, ultimately losing itself and the players in a state of jumbled confusion throughout most of the game, but by the end you gain some understanding.
Since the third installment is most likely never going to happen, there will be lingering questions that will never have answers.
Give this game a go if you enjoy horror style games, but be warned, this game is filled with bugs, glitches, and frustrating mechanics that fail you at the worst of times.
