Gothic is a masterpiece, period. It's one of the first games that I've ever played and definitely one of the first roleplaying games, for me. I can't rate it lower than 5 stars, because this game is pure perfection and most importantly, it is my childhood. It has atmosphere, it has strong RPG elements, it has a very solid and well scripted storyline and of course it has a very good and linear character development. I think that Gothic II should be played, at least once, by every RPG loving self-proclaimed fan.
