Great economy building game

Anno 2205 is more of an economy building game than a city builder. Sure, you still build sprawling metropolises, but the heart of the game is expanding your empire slowly but steadily so your economy stay stable and strong.

This means the gameplay is somewhat grindy as you go through cycles of building houses, then expanding your industry to keep up with demand and then harvesting more energy to keep up with all of this. Wash rinse repeat. But the different demands of your different worlds (temperate, arctic and lunar) keep things interesting and isn't optimization the great joy of these games anyway?

I had a great time. Though, as always with Anno, as soon as the story campaign was done, so was the game.
