It has a great presentation, and looking around, it got a great ad campaign, graphics and music. but the moment you pickup the controller and start to play, it all goes downhill. the gameplay is terrible by comparison to previous and forthcoming afterward installment in the same generation. saying it is very limiting is a broad statement, because I feel they tried to add as many moves as possible, but putting to use in action is either a terrible idea, with the combo flow being in it absolute awful state, or the AI just casually blocking your move in the same frame you push the button on your controller.
The only way to go about this, is constant hit and run, hit and run, side stepping, just to make your way through the fight and actually win. this is not a fun gameplay or a challenge, this is a complete disaster! I've zero idea how this game sold well to guarantee a sequel, but I guess the Mortal Kombat brand and gore, and characters and the hype of what being a new gen release not going to the arcade like the previous installment, may have highly helped the game. or should I say: It was released in a perfect timing.
I'm pretty sure I enjoyed the previous games way more than this one. you can skip it if you're looking to revisit, but if you're MK fan, the content and what's here will fulfill your dose of fun.
