Freddi Fish 2: The Case of the Haunted Schoolhouse has got all the qualities of the first episode: lovely cartoonish characters, beautiful backgrounds, well thought puzzles, a good use of randomization for replayability purposes (but without making it too chaotic), nice sense of humour. The ghost story mood initially disturbed my daughter a little bit but after a while it was fine. Also, plot twist: around mid point, we found out that Freddi Fish is a female. And now my daughter is completely sold.
Preliminary: As a kid I always loved that each palythrough felt different because of which items were needed.
This seems sooo HD and vivid and the shadows and backgrounds, just everything ah! And the music as always with HE! I love that I got to finally experience Monkey Island 2 and see how it morphed into these kid-friendly, amazing HE games.
I got unlucky (or is it lucky?) and gotta get all the Sea Urchins. Which means wandering around the whole place. but i am loving the music so that's okay.
Yesss the coziness and chatter
And I wound up wandering to all areas even after finding all the sea urchins so I guess it wans't a curse after all :-p
Oh wow! It's Spy Fox before Spy Fox! And such a fun variety of " movies" in the movie theater.
I did love this, but it didn't feel as impactful as the first Freddi Fish. Something less mysterious, dimly lit, and cozy about the ending and the scenarios. I do still love the skethcy guy selling things (tho he wasn't part of this playthrough for me, sadly), the kid who needs their glasses retrieved, and the music and Look. …

In other words, still an amazing game, and I played this one a lot as a kid albeit not quite as much as the first Freddi Fish.
