It looks like the first official PS5 consoles and game bundle will likely go to Rift Apart. I don’t know if I’m happy or disappointed it’s not a custom PS5 design.

Ok I admit that I’m predisposed to believe this by default because I really like Insomniac and I may just slightly idealize them as a dev studio (even if I still recognize they make mistakes and always have room to grow), but here we go:
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Devs Say It Was Created Without Crunch

I really hope this is true.

Not that I need extra encouragement, but today's Polygon article on Rift Part definitely has me even more excited for the game. I'm also very happy this is a continuation of the Crack in Time and Into the Nexus storylines rather than a new spinoff or alternate timeline. So excited!

Holy sweet damn, Rivet is played by Jennifer Hale. I’m dying. Commander Sheppard is in both my most anticipated games this spring! This made my day even more than that game footage did.

Needless to say I’m excited. A little under a month and a half to go. I can’t wait.

Ever since I started the serious game of trying to buy a PS5, I'm amazed at how fast they move. Most of the time they sell out before I can check out. Today they sold out faster than I reached the front of the (very short) queue I was in to buy one.

I know I don't need one, but I do think that if I don't actively try to get one now, there's no way I can get one by the time Ratchet & Clank is released. I know, I also don't need that, but it's been a shitty year, I spent my last birthday in full lockdown unable to see family or friends, and there's a probable chance that will happen again this year. Is it unreasonable to want to play Ratchet & Clank on my next birthday?
