This time I wrote about how overwhelming is to play Destiny as a newbie to the franchise and how badly designed is its user interface (and how I'm enjoying the game so much despite that).

Trying this out again after the F2P & Steam move. I want something regularly in my life in this genre. But I can't really play both Warframe and this, so I'm considering the options. So far (10 hrs?) it's not really knocking me out over what it was like a year ago, the last time I played much.

So far, the newbie experience with this game has been infuriating. My friend and I just completed two strikes honestly thinking that those were part of the campaign.
The UI is the messiest and less intuitive I've seen in a videogame. It's ridiculous.

So yeah, Shadowkeep is a pretty typical expansion for Destiny. But the Vex Invasion has been much better than the rest of the Shadowkeep so far. Also rediscovered my love for Gambit. Probably played more Gambit than I have doing anything else so far. Finally, its nice that the base campaign, Forsaken, etc... Are included in the game, but there …

Bungie needs to make these campaigns way more unique if they think people aren't just going to play the new one and ignore everything else.

Decided to start up the Shadowkeep campaign. Pretty nice nostalgia trip so far. But I'm starting to have this feeling that there STILL won't be any truly new enemies in this game. Did the character artists leave after the first Destiny. Seems like everything since then has been a reskin.

Destiny 2's new light is basically just more Destiny. Seems like the changes were mostly like those that have been made for other expansions. Going to probably try to get through some of Shadowkeep, but no promises. Too many games Destiny, to deal with your grindy ways.

The story is longer than 3 missions long, and you are actually allowed to play through the entire story without having to pay for the rest of it, which makes me actually want to pay for the continuation, because i was actually allowed to get invested in this story. the game play was more polished, the equipment system was quite a bit more fair, and while im still not a fan of the PVP aspect, the strike missions make the game fun even after you've beaten the main story line (and its free, also a major selling point for me). This game is everything i wanted and expected of the first destiny, plus more, and for that, it gets top marks from me. ill definitely be paying for the forsaken DLC that actually comes out today

Playing again for no good reason. A good "shut off your brain" game, if dry on content. Have friends that play, so that helps.
