Necromunda: Underhive Wars is a turn-based tactical RPG. Rival gangs of ruthless warriors are locked in an endless war for control of the Underhive, a gigantic warren of derelict factories, rusted metal husks, and forgotten technologies. Anarchy, violence, betrayal and death rule this hellish place, long forsaken by any semblance of civilization.

Anyone know of a game like this? There's no real narrative focus just that of investing/building up your crew/gang/players and getting strong and more powerful over time. No real TBT type game comes to mind. Usually, your operators are more or less 'a means to the end' or a side story, but here, they (and the setting) are the main focus. Customize them, name them, level them up, experiment with them. etc. Ken-Shi was a little bit like that in the sense that you started to give them flavor and personality or even give them little backstory(s) and the 'game' a bit less on the front burner... but i guess for me with Necromunda it's the strange and intriguing environment.

enter image description here Some of these maps its just jaw dropping to look up (or down) and realize you are i kind of dyson ring like arcology. Or you come across a map that is an ancient derelict factory, repurposed into something else over time... It's a weird Fallout kind of vibe. Necromunda is such a unique place. The skies in this game and scenes as you explore the maps in 'free roam' mode are really full of eye candy and lots of little details. Hopefully there will be more games and that they are better ones that a wider audience of people can appreciate.
