Wow, somehow they managed to make a cooler and even more impressive looking Metal Slug. This game is a stunning bit of artistic expression at times, a literal 16 bit action-packed anime. It's got some seriously intimidating and mean looking bosses, that when they show up you say 'uh oh'

the game introduces a few new vehicles, and a boss killing laser. It also introduces a lot of lag that the first game did not have.
It is still an absolute must play, a fantastic looking game that few titles compare to in terms of it's pixel perfect 16 bit style or wacky and wildly entertaining action-packed ride through a half dozen stages.

Infinite lives is perfect for a fun time regardless of skill level because we kept dying over and over. A nice thing about continuing is you can select a new player each time.
