Got hyped and started a new run with the Blue Lion house. I feel a bit guilty though as (1) I miss my Black Eagle house and (2) I have a lot of other games in my backlog so maybe I should touch them first before starting yet another long journey with this one.

I'm not even sure I want to finish this game anymore. To play optimally takes up so much time and the story just flat out is not good enough to justify the time it takes. Online sources indicated the game was about 40 hours long but they must have skipped everything but the main battles because I did a mix …
Read moreI'm not even sure I want to finish this game anymore. To play optimally takes up so much time and the story just flat out is not good enough to justify the time it takes. Online sources indicated the game was about 40 hours long but they must have skipped everything but the main battles because I did a mix of side battles, paralogies and seminars and I'm only half way through and over 50 hours of playtime. The game is perilously easy too so it's not like the challenge is what's holding me back. Right now I'm just trying to slog through and skip everything non essential but I dunno if I can make it through another 8 months in game even skipping everything... I've been trying to beat this dang thing since it came out and it just never ends.

Took about a minute for things to come back but I'm looking forward to playing more of this game. Tried it on TV mode for the first time, and it was glorious. The text is still too small though which makes me kind of prefer handheld mode. At least in handheld, I can move the screen closer to my face …

Just got to the big ball. I think I'm about halfway through. There's no way I'm gonna have time to play the other houses but I'm still really enjoying this one. I think this comes in a good time since right now, a lot of things outside the world of Fodlan require my attention. Thus, I have decided to not play this game for the next three weeks. I'll be welcomed back after this break by the first sequence after the time skip, and I'm kinda excited by the idea that my 3 weeks equates to 5 years in game.

I've looked forward to this moment for so long, and I'm finally starting Fire Emblems: Three Houses! I just know that this would totally eradicate my chances of going out (which is already pretty much dead on a regular basis and I've actually resolved to try improving...) but I'm quite sure I won't regret it. I'm just so excited!
