Somewhere along the line I became habituated to Professor Oak's half-hearted encouragement of my photos in Pokemon Snap and gave up trying to 100% the game.
Penko Park with its combination of spooky picture book art, eerie settings, and unfamiliar creatures rekindled that passion to take a photo of everything. There are three levels full of multiple routes that house over 100 cryptids in various poses. While full competition requires replaying a stage a few times, it never felt tedious enough to give up. Penko Park felt whimisical and fun - a fresh take on an established game franchise.
