Excellent
This review is for the PlayStation 4 version

The game design and story, in my opinion, show the struggle with being authentic. When social constructs, not being in tune with yourself, damage the identity, the self. How mad the world is today. How many repressed memories manifest themselves later in life. A long time ago people accused demons for corrupting the soul. In fact, our bad memories, and experiences, form us and happy memories keep us grounded. A masterpice about struggle, acceptance, the will to improve, an exploration of our complex self, letting go of the past with kindness and forgiveness. 10/10.

Ok. More of the same. Puzzles slightly improved, story les so

Looks nice. Really cool effects of water dripping and other things like that. I've played enough fo these games by bloober now to know exactly how they work. I did room rush this game and that might have lessened my enjoyment of it. Overall not a scary game (les so than their others) I liked the puzzles more. I liked the story less.

Boring

I was really hoping I would like this game, but I found it really boring and drawn out. The graphics are great, the voice acting is really good too, but I just didn't care about the story at all. Never played the first one, nor will I after having played this one.

Did not disappoint

This game brought the scary! Love these psychological horror games and I was so please that a sequel felt scarier than the original. They really brought the feeling of terror with this game. I had a blood curdling scream while playing this game from the amount of terror I felt. Proof of terror in clip below.

An unnecessary repetition of the original.
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

Apart from nice graphics, Layers of Fear 2 was a boring game that went on a bit too long. From cheap scenes in which you are being hunted by a monster to locked doors that spawn new corridors behind you, nothing really feels new. It is basically the first game but a bit longer. Story was pretty weak compared to the first one also and it did not scare me much. Other "walking simulators" do it better. Bloober Team needs to come up with something new, the formula has lost its spark.

Free on Epic. I repeat: I don't like horror games because I get too scared. But, hey, free game!

Not bad, not good.

First act was a bit of slow start. And third is kinda unnecessary.

Atmosphere is the best part.

Rest is mediocre.

Did anyone play this? The plot sounds right up my alley, but I was lukewarm on the first one. Is it an improvement or should I just play Observer?
