Splinter Cell is 5/5, Pandora Tomorrow 4/5 , Chaos Theory, the peak, the goat. Dialog, characters, story, OST, sound design. Double Agent? Hit and miss. The PC port is a disaster. The old titles have enhanced editions, patched versions, different configurations that aid in running this program on modern systems but Double Agent is left in the dust. As a veteran of SC games and a fan of Sam Fisher, Double Agent is not that bad. It had potential but for the life of me i cannot understand why was it left to dust. The soundtrack and story are great. The gameplay has potential. The franchise is winning all the way through Conviction which is a game changer. This franchise needs to be revived and the rest of the titles to be remastered and reworked because they are the one and only true proof that Ubisoft still had some good writers in their team. I've worked as a QA for them for 4 years, 10 years ago and honestly it is a shame the road they've taken in the past decade.

The game concept is really cool, to have moral choices and to earn your trust with the two agencies depending on what objectives you choose to go after. However, the amount of bugs, the abysmal management of savegame files makes it extremely frustrating, hence my 2 stars. If it would be bug free it probably would have been a solid …

Especially those missions in the compound were a bit tiresome.. yeah, still somewhat interesting, but after the fourth time seeing the same surroundings it got a bit boring. Otherwise a good game, some fun moments, but also quite a few bugs, I got stuck on the map a couple of times, where you aren't able to move anymore, and had 1-2 game crashes. Clearly not on the same level as the games before it, but still a fun pastime. I'll give it 3 stars, think of it as a good 3,4. :)

So, after finishing the first three games, the saga continues with part 4. I am somewhat concerned about this game, as reviews generally seem to be less favorable, but we'll see how it pans out over the coming weeks. :) (Disclaimer: already started playing yesterday.)
