3 weeks later I've finished the main story (no 100% completion). Great game, just as I remembered. Fun story, fun sneaking, fun tricks to avoid being seen. I got stuck in the map 1-2 times, meaning I couldn't move anymore, but other than that no bugs whatsoever. Highly recommended, IMO the best part of the first three games!

First/Last played this game in 2013. Am now currently doing a playthrough of the entire Splinter Cell series, so here goes playthrough #2. Am quite excited, since 1 and 2 were both good, and I remember Chaos Theory to be the best I've played so far. Will update later. :)

Chaos Theory - First Impressions
The first thing that strikes me well about the first couple levels is the banter, which is both humorous and also kinda brings me into the gameplay. Sam Fisher's voice is just soothing enough to disguise that the level design is.... subpar. Well maybe not bad, but it's certainly not interesting. It's all linear engagements with guards, who function just enough with the core systems (which are admittedly pretty good, i like the dynamic shadows system) to be threats but are equally easy to take out. The only explicit push to ghost is your own fortitude to do so, so there's nothing stopping you from stealthing until you don't care anymore.
That's several knocks against the game, but I am genuinely interested in seeing where Chaos Theory may lead, so it's not a drop. It's alright and I'll come back to it when I'm out of stealth games to comb through.
