Wow, this was bad.
I don't mind the looks, although they are very simple and repetitive. The music was driving me nuts. Controlling the cat can get some time getting used to, but it's managable. Extremely boring!
I like to finish games that I start, so I did try to beat this one. I couldn't even finish the game because it crashed right at the end in what I think was the final boss, and ruined my checkpoint... I am definitely not starting the game all over again. No thanks.
This is one of the worst games I've ever played in my life. I'm pretty sure this is only the 2nd 1 star I gave on the site. Let's start with the good: you play as a cute cat. That's it. The music is bad, the level design and enemy placement have no thought put into them, everything looks the same, jumping feels floaty and imprecise, and there's a lack of direction for the player. No matter how far you progress, you will literally see the same enemies. What makes it worse is that all of the enemies behave the same way, they move forward then turn around once they hit an edge or wall. As for the level design, there is nothing memorable about it. The only difference between areas is that the color of the grass is different and the music changes. I gave up on the game after getting stuck in a loop and not being able to figure out how to progress. When everything looks the same, it's hard to remember what route takes you where. It doesn't help that just heading in a single direction won't help you because you can take portals which will …

It doesn't help that just heading in a single direction won't help you because you can take portals which will send you backwards. Here's a few things that could've improved the game: add a map, make the portals distinguishable from one another, include a gem counter so the player knows how many gems there are in each area instead of only having a universal gem counter, tell the player what the gems do, add fast travel. I think this game is originally $10, which is actually pretty disgusting for its quality. I paid $2 to get this in a bundle using my Nintendo gold coins and I still felt ripped off. If you want a cute platformer where you play as a cat, I suggest MagiCat instead, that game is actually good.
