I played Dear Esther back in high school because it was one of the few games that would run on our shit family laptop. I loved the landscape && desolate atmosphere, but not much else.

I gave the rerelease a go last night. The textures still look like they're from 2004. The commentary sounds amateurish and everything the developers say rub me the wrong way. This about sums it up.

Honestly, this game just makes me want to play the half life 2 coast level.

I tried to dig into this and I found that between moving kind of slow and the random blurbs of British narration that was open and made you think, wasn't something I wanted to continue on with. I see what the devs were doing and I appreciate the artistry that has been designed but I couldn't get into it.
