Human Fall Flat is a party game in which you control your limbs separately. You need to reach the end goal of each level together, while moving objects, pulling levers and enabling mechanisms.

You travel through different worlds with different themes like the desert, medieval castles, constructions sites and many more. However, the goal remains the same, reach the end of the level.

The charm of this game is, like mentioned, that you need to use both triggers and the thumb sticks to look up, reach up, grab ledges (or people) and perform certain movements. Sometimes you can pull up your teammates from a hard-to-reach spot, sometimes you plummet into the abys when they grab you.

My favorite activity is to grab the ground, look up and take on a twerking pose, shaking my booty.

The graphics are ugly, blend, and simple, just as the developers intended. The camera and animation movements however are decent. There is a simple track that plays in the background that does not add anything special.

Off course, the controls are horrendous. This is by design, but grabbing a ledge with only one hand, realizing that you are too low and try to pull yourself up with 2 centimeters per minute is skin crawling. The cringe when trying to reach a platform or ledge, especially when it fails, is real and sometimes I wanted to pull my hair out.

Human Fall Flat is very chaotic and when you try to do the same thing with six people at once, it will fail miserably.

This makes for frustrating and hilarious game sessions, especially with friends.

And that is the whole concept here. When playing with friends, this game can be hours of fun, but when playing with strangers without any form of communication, task separation or teamwork, the game feels horrible and you just try to keep up with the rest, who already reached the exit.

For a game this simple, and sometimes, boring, I think it is way too overpriced. For me, this is the kind of game that I play on a LAN Party and never pick up afterwards. I had some fun with it, but I would not recommend it if you do not have a group of friends to play regularly.

I played this game a lot back in 2019 when I bought it. I never played it alone, but always in split screen with controller and my mate. And I remember enjoying every single minute of this game.

Besides cleverly designed levels there is also a thriving steam workshop community. And every few months there is a new level added to the core game which usually comes from the workshop community. So in these few years that I wasn't playing, there was a lot of levels added. So I decided to try them out.

And it just came back to me how great this game is. Of course the core mechanic is controlling a stiff human that needs to climb around and move objects. It is a physic puzzle game - the genre I am very fond of. The human isn't that hard to control. You can move, jump and grab stuff with left and right hand using triggers on your controller. When using a controller, the position of your hand depends on the angle of camera. This is probably the most annoying aspect of the game. For example: when you want your human to extend hands to the sky (something you will do a lot) you need to point the camera to the sky. Considering that it is a third person view, you will clip into objects a lot when doing it. When playing in split screen, it can help a lot looking at the other player's screen to provide different angle on your character. Thats's a coop right there.

But for me the controls never were a big issue. The game luckly doesn't ask you to do very crazy platforming or hard to execute movements. Rather it makes you figure out the way to get over the obstacles. It is a puzzle game after all. And levels are insanely imaginative and beautifully themed. One of the most memorable levels is for sure water in which you steer the big ship. And "dark" where you resurrect frankenstein. Or "Ice" where you go skiing. And the game is filled with such beautiful discoveries and easter eggs.

This game hardly has any music. A beautiful melody is usually triggered when hitting a checkpoint. Not bad to be honest, but richer OST would definitely be welcome.

With that said I cannot recommend this game enough, especially for the multiplayer experience. It is clever and lovely at the same time. It is for sure one of my all time favourites.

Human Fall Flat is a physics-based puzzler with a pleasant sense of humor, a cute main character, nice puzzles, and clean, inviting environments, but all of these positives bite the dust when the basic mechanic of the game makes you gnash your teeth with frustration. Controlling Bob is like trying to get ooze to stand at attention. He flips and flops around until you'll jump off a ledge just to end the pain. The items he handles flip and flop around in the much the same way. Once you get the hang of the basic controls then you can get the job done, but it isn't fun and isn't that the whole point? It isn't Bob that falls flat here so much as the game itself.

Local multiplayer is just two players in the same single-player levels so the puzzles are not design with co-op on mind. On top of that the visuals are bland (I was hoping to customise the colour of each character, but no, they are both the same white model) and the music swings between obnoxious and nonexistent.

Uninstalled after a few minutes.

The thing about this game is the amazing level design and the controls. The controls are very minimal: movement keys, a jump button and a 'play dead' button. However, the catch is that you control each of the arms separately. This simple mechanic makes the game fun to play, especially with friends. It's a very simple idea but excellently executed. My only real problem with it is that once you beat all the levels, you're done. Granted, there are quite a few, but if you do complete them all there's nothing else to do. Also, the game doesn't feel that fun when playing single-player, so if you have no friends, then you're out of luck. Overall, a fun party game that I would definitely recommend.

Strong beginning; frustrating end.

What began as a unique and fun weirdly controlled game soon became a frustrating disaster. While I did have some fun in the beginning I ended up leaving the game for a bit only to come back and get frustrated all over again. Not something I plan on going back to.

Hahaha oh my gosh. Another game I wasn't sure if ever play and I'm glad I am. This is giving me a great play for the time being. Frustrating at times (it's supposed to be) but still completely humorous and fair.

Human fall flat is a cute physics based open world platformer/puzzler. You play as a little blobby character that walks like he's had too much to drink. Apart from the movement the only thing that you control are your arms. Wobbling around your job is to get from one point to the other by solving various environmental puzzles and tackling obstacles.

There is no story. There needs to be none.

The graphics are a bit claymation like and simple but are well readable and have a nice consistent character.

It's hard to explain exactly how it's played. It's best experienced for oneself. The game can be frustrating but it can also be rewarding as heck.

The puzzles are mostly open to any kind of alteration. You can cheat, do things your way, and the game has no problems with you doing this. There are many ways certain obstacles can be passed - some are simpler, some harder - some were intended by the developers but a lot of them I imagine were not. And it's fun to figure those things out.

You also get to operate some machinery, cars or boats. And getting them to run is really hard given the control scheme. But fun as well.

I think the weakest part of the game is it's length. There's just a handful of levels and no workshop/custom level support. Sure you can replay it and figure other ways to tackle the puzzles but it's not really re-playable.

Supports multiplayer which looks fun but was no interest to me.

Overall I recommend giving it a shot. Don't expect everyone will like it but you just might.

In this game you control wobbly characters, you can move each hand (and the rest of your body), to solve puzzles or climb somwhere. In this game you'll be: controlling huge cargo ship and then offloading cargo containers with a crane, swimming on a raft using sails, rowing on a row-boat, riding a truck full of coal to fill the furnace, which then will start the turbine that can launch you flying, shooting with catapults, swinging on ropes. And a lot more, all with awkward silly moments caused by the fact that almost everything in this game is using physics engine.
