For the King (PC)

Una mezcla entre Heroes of Might and Magic, combate por turnos y roguelite diseñada para jugar con 1 o 2 amigos que me ha parecido muy divertida y bien diseñada pese a la apariencia inicial de sencillez de la propuesta.

this is a nice online co-op experience. i dont know where it will go, but its been LONG game session and it's enjoyable to play a strategy and coordinate moves. Feels almost like Heroes light/4x light

Free weekend on Steam led the crew to try this. Three player online co-op was fun but in light of the amount of time we have sunk into Baldur’s Gate 3 recently, this is woefully inadequate on many fronts. My biggest complaint was the lack of onboarding that left you to figure out everything from controls to how the game …

I enjoyed a playthrough or two, but the game gets repetitive and there is not a lot of depth. I also felt like it is imbalanced, in that I could be doing great one minute and then get totally destroyed the next.

Fun concept, but a bit unbalanced

I understand the concept behind challenging rogue-likes, but when you whiff a 98% chance to hit attack and lose your run, it becomes a little un-fun.

Also, the hardest modes can pretty much only be won with a few select weapons that basically give unlimited attacks in battle. And you need to hope the right combination drops, or else you …

Also, the hardest modes can pretty much only be won with a few select weapons that basically give unlimited attacks in battle. And you need to hope the right combination drops, or else you better just reset.

I even tried save-scumming to try to see how far I got into the hard mode, and it really wasn't worth it.

Pretty good for what it is but not a huge a shelf life.

Turn-based battles are difficult in multiplayer (and this is no exception).

FTK is a game in which you move 3 separate character over a game map to explore areas, visit locations and fight enemies JRPG-style. The game has no technical timer but every X turns the level of "chaos" increases which does bad things, so you have to counter that.

The game is rather clunky with an off-putting interface and vague long-term consequences. It also seems to set you up to fail at least once by creating the "wrong" character order by default. Yes, you read that right. Apparently the tank character should be in the middle (by default it's on the left) because the middle character gets targeted the most. The game even generates a prompt "warning" you of your imminent failure. You have to click on it every time you launch the game.

The gameplay is rather clumsy. You awkwardly move across the map unsure of what to do. Fights are simple JRPG-style battles with limited options. Towns provide services like healing as well as quests, with little indication of what is "worth" paying for and what quests are good to start with.

Everything is procedurally generated which increases the lack of direction. I just have no interest in learning the "right" way to play this game - especially not because the gameplay is rather uninteresting. There are countless better options in the turn-based strategy genre, this game fails to justify its existence.

Quite good but unpolished..

The basic structure of the game is fun and interesting. The exploration and sense of adventure/moving around the map and discovering locations and events feel great. Battles are fun. The sound design is unique and well done. But I can't recommend it however due to terrible UI, weird unbalanced game mechanics and lack of general polish.
