More of the same – and that's good

Continuing on my and my GF's collaborative Keen journey...

In short, Commander Keen 5: The Armageddon Machine offers the same thrills and shortcomings as Keen 4 but in a space station setting this time around. Once again, the enemy desings, small touches of humour here and there and general funky vibe are a joy to witness. The space setting theme with aliens and machinery may even be a bit more cool than the forest-y setting of Keen 4. Maybe. This time around, the enemy placements might also be even more unfair at times here but if you give yourself the right to save often, you're good to go. I didn't, and that lead to lots of frustration. My bad.

After we beat Keen 5, we moved on to the last part of the trilogy, which proved to be the favourite of both of us.

Preliminary: So far, this is the best of the later Commander Keens in term of music and level design. But I've only finished 2 levels so far lol.

Welp it got too frustrating for me, as Commander Keens tend to, but this is the closest the later ones came to the excitement and funkiness of the first couple. Kinda warrants a 3 star, but I guess cuz not much had changed from the earlier ones, why bother.
