Late Homework completely flew under my radar, but I saw it mentioned on Twitter and was immediately drawn to it. A mini survival horror set in a school? Sounds like Fear the Spotlight…

It is pretty similar, but has fixed cameras and player-relative controls (tank controls). There’s also permadeath if you get caught 3 times by the roaming threat. But best of all - the puzzles are so good.

Everything is bite size, including the inventory - you will only ever carry one item or key at a time. So the inventory type puzzles are very simple, but there’s other more abstract and logic based ones that are very well designed and fun to figure out.

Everything about the game is extremely polished - I only wish it was longer! I hope the dev will continue making survival horror type games cuz they nailed it.
