Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a third-person action-adventure with an open world hub. Unlike previous Lego games in which players had to advance through the story in a linear order, players can now choose to start the game from any of the main Skywalker Saga episodes and complete them in any order they wish. Each episode has their own hub filled with planets featured prominently in each respective film that can be visited and explored. Each episode will have five story missions each, a total of 45 levels. Combat has also been revamped, such as lightsaber fights now involving a variety of combos with light attacks, heavy attacks, and Force moves, and blaster characters having an over-the-shoulder camera angle featured in many third-person shooter games. Random encounters will also happen in the game's hub. For example, an Imperial Star Destroyer will suddenly jump out of hyperspace and send a fleet of TIE Fighters after the player. Players can choose to engage in dogfights with them or continue onward to progress the story. The game will have more than 200 playable characters, though TT Games has said that number will change. A little too busy for its target audience

I played this with my son, and it provided some great moments. He really enjoyed the button mashing with very light combos, and some of the boss battles were hugely enjoyable for him. Wow I love this game.

After successfully beating this game I can say that it was great. It has a surprisingly deep feel for a kids game while also having that classic Lego charm like the older games did. I highly recommend this game to any Star Wars or LEGO fan out there.

I had the joy of finishing this fairly recently (about a month or two ago) and my feelings on this game are mixed, I will instead use pros and cons to convey my opinions in the simplest way possible.

PROS

~ Open world.

~ All films included.

~ It's Star Wars.

~ Trademark hilarious LEGO humour.

~ Gameplay improves greatly over original.

~ Decent voice acting.

~ Space is cool

CONS

~ Characters are often repetitive, with most just playing like reskins of each other.

~ Open world is often incredibly boring and repetitive.

~ DLC just isn't worth your money, honestly.

FINAL VERDICT :

Despite all the cons, this game really does the feeling of flying around in a ship and blasting stormtroopers so many of us wanted IRL when we were younger correctly, and is worth your money, but probably only if you're a huge star wars fan or if you grew up with it.
