And with the death of the final boss my time with this trilogy had come to an end. I finished this one with 77% which isn't too bad since I'm not much of a 'scourer'. Fantastic series.

Gladly taking recommendations of what to play next in the series. The only 2D games I've played are the 3DS remake and the …

"You must keep at least 4 soldiers alive to help you arm the bomb." OK, that doesn't seem very metroid-like at all....

Plays through the ensuing firefight

Me: Ok, that was absolutely sick. I don't care.

Seriously, this game has its shortcoming but they're quite small. I've loved just about every minute of the game.

Ok, who thought shooting minigames were necessary for travelling on skylines? Absolutely frustrating.

After the frustrating backtracking and confusion of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Corruption feels like a breath of fresh air in that its more linear structure streamlines a more conventional story. It felt odd opening up in Samus's ship and actually talking to people and seeing cutscenes and discussions between NPCs - way different to the Metroid games I'd played up until this point. It does, however; feel necessary. if it had been just like the first two prime games people might have complained it was getting stale and old and needed something different to revitalise the games. Indeed, 2 felt more of the same enough that it did feel annoying. I don't advocate for such conventions in Metroid games but I can understand the purpose and see it as an evolution, rather than a bastardisation that I'm sure many people saw it as.

This game is terrible. I didn't think anything could be worse than Other M.

Worst suits

Worst story

Worst supporting characters

Having supporting characters at all (Hint: This is why prime 1 is good - no NPCs. prime 2 does a decent job but it's about as much as i can take, with the luminoth u-mos dude. he's alright. but …

Having supporting characters at all (Hint: This is why prime 1 is good - no NPCs. prime 2 does a decent job but it's about as much as i can take, with the luminoth u-mos dude. he's alright. but prime 3 goes too far, and fusion/other-m go way too far)

Worst weapons, completely USELESS beams, AWFUL upgrades like the QTE ship ones (ship mission expansions are a joke)

Completely sectioned off zones/world, even more linear and not interconnected than prime 2

Awful tacked-in forced motion minigames (LOOK GUISE ITS ON THE WII LOL)

Copy-pasted enemies everywhere (5 re-textures of shriekbats)

Annoying fucking bosses, boring easy fights that just take a million hits to kill
