Well, my replay of the 'original' (ie infinity engine) Baldur's Gate games ends halfway through this one. I don't enjoy the old, clunky real time with pause at this point in my life. Bad pathing and unpredictable movement is probably the most frustrating thing for me in a video game, and I'm just not down for working around it right now. Great games, but it's too bad the enhanced editions didn't fix the base gameplay being a tough pill to swallow in the modern age.

(Which I nearly completed 100%, I just missed a few quests in the city I think, and I ended up giving up on The Black Pits after getting stuck. Excellent attempt to update and evolve a nearly twenty year old series, bringing it in line with contemporary attitudes. Like Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Version, Siege of Dragonspear has it's technical issues, but Beamdog's attempt to refresh Baldur's Gate and make it culturally relevant and reflective of the current period is worth respect and admiration. Excellent attempt to update and evolve a nearly twenty year old series, bringing it in line with contemporary attitudes. Like Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Version, Siege of Dragonspear has it's technical issues, but Beamdog's attempt to refresh Baldur's Gate and make it culturally relevant and reflective of the current period is worth respect and admiration. It is nice to be able to revisit a classic series with fresh eyes and perspective. While no attempt is ever perfect, Beamdog has put forth a solid effort.

Wow, this is crazy. I can't believe that they actually made a Baldur's Gate expansion, almost 20 years after the original!! This was my first RPG, looking forward to finally seeing the story continue.
