Note that this is specifically for the console version. Buyer beware. This version of Planescape: Torment has bugs that make the game unplayable. While playing, the text will start to become screwed up. About 2 hours in I noticed some NPCs were missing characters in their names. Weird, but I can live with it. Then I noticed the time indicator missing characters. Then I picked up a dagger and it said it does "1 - " damage. How much damage? Who knows! Once it affected gameplay I said screw it and will just have to play it on Steam. (Thankfully, Amazon will let you return opened games if something is wrong, which is certainly is). If you look on the Beamdog forums, there's a ton of people complaining about this for years, and they have chosen to ignore it. This version of the game is already 4 years old, and they have not fixed these issues, which to me says they never intend to.
If you're asking "Why play this PC RPG on a console?" Well, I just really prefer to play on consoles, and while I know you can connect controllers to PCs, Planescape: Torment for PC does not …

I also own Enhanced Edition Official Soundtrack for Torment: This album features all 37 tracks composed for the original Planescape: Torment including tracks never used in-game. All tracks are provided in both MP3 (320 kbit) and lossless FLAC format, for your listening pleasure.
It will be interesting to try Planescape. I have played similar games like Torment and Pillars of Eternity, but nothing beats the classics. This game always reminded me of a stranger Fallout.
Let's see if Planescape: Torment takes this time. Tried to play it a few times and, while it seems awesome, I always get lost about 2 hours in. HOWEVER! I have a few CRPGs under my belt, now, and I think I can make it this time.
Does anyone have this as a physical copy, and can you tell me if there is anything included in the box other than the disc? A code (for anything), a manual, whatever.
Can anyone give me a read on how the controls feel here, and if the text is big enough to comfortably read on a TV?

I've been itching to play this game for years and finally it's available on the Switch!
So, I'm about 2 hours in, I've acquired lots of quests, and I still don't really know what to do. I've played these types of D&D games from the time, Baldur's Gate, Fallouts, Neverwinter, you name it - but this one is so much different. Very story focused as I was told, and that was a massive understatement. Lots of dialogue! Not that that's a bad thing, because damn it's well-written and interesting.
The thing is, as it often has been with these types of games, is that I never feel like I'm playing it "correctly". I've died a bunch of times already, but luckily the Dusties have brought me back and I find myself in the mortuary ready to go again. I get what's going on there.
I guess the question is, are there other things I should look out for in the game? I don't want to use a walkthrough because they're so specific about "do this for INT+1, do that to become CHAOTIC" etc, and "precision D&D minmaxing" is not what I play these types of games …

I want to make sure I'm playing it correctly, if that makes sense. Is it supposed to feel super weird and foreign at first? It's definitely taking a bit to figure out my "place" which typically would happen around 2 hours into a game, but it still feels like a long ways away.
