El_Diegote's review of Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide

I know it has almost 20 years and it hasn't aged that well. I still like the depth of character building and the fixing of different aspects of the main campaign (such as every enemy being immune to sneak attack in the final module, for example, which made finishing the game as a rogue mostly impossible. Or giving some love to the archers, which were crap in the main game). There is also a huge issue with the switch port, with several save files corrupted and crashing when trying to load game. This is definitely the worst aspect of this version so far. And, well, the obvious thing about glitches that weren't fixed in more than 15 years.

Anyhow, it definitely feels like a different story and playing it after the main module, but with a new character is the way to go. You feel really underpowered when comparing to the hero of Neverwinter: enemies that you could take in hordes now can kill you and your henchperson by itself if you're not careful. Loved finding so many powerful magic items and the fact tat now healing isn't free, same with teletransportation.

Dunno, I liked it. In the middle it …

Dunno, I liked it. In the middle it kinda felt like a chore, but probably because being an archer still sucks. After getting imbue arrow, however, oh boy.

3.5 stars mainly because of being a very poor port. Still managed to make me go straight into HotU.
