One of the best games ever created

This is what a real couch game should strive to be.

It has rly good gameplay, makes you very creative, banger music, good enough story but CREATING YOUR OWN LEVELS is what makes it from a 4/5 to 6/5 and then you could play other ppls levels was so fun esp since my own levels was kinda simple lmao, 1st …

It has rly good gameplay, makes you very creative, banger music, good enough story but CREATING YOUR OWN LEVELS is what makes it from a 4/5 to 6/5 and then you could play other ppls levels was so fun esp since my own levels was kinda simple lmao, 1st time I bought a DLC (pirats of the carribiean) was for this game and i still have it to this day <3

And it rly helped that PSN was free back then so I could play this with my friends no problem (until dinner was rdy and dad turned off the console lmao) and others ppls own levels.

The narrator is a gift from the gods themselves.

I pray that we will get a remake for the trilogy but this one is the one that will always be in my heart.

Charming but it has issues

Listen, I love this series, but it has so many flaws. Sometimes, the gameplay just isn’t fun, sometimes I don’t know what I’m supposed to do, and sometimes it’s a buggy mess! But that’s just for me, I don’t care what you really think.

Gotta say, while I appreciate Media Molecule's incredibly unique and ambitious approach to game development, wherein they are mostly just creating a toolset and platform for people to get creative and make their own content, I don't really enjoy the content that they themselves create within said game development toolset. Basically, their games just aren't particularly fun to play. They feel extremely loose and floaty and there’s just a level of triple-A-Sony-exclusive polish missing from the gameplay experience in favor of simplicity to accommodate the average creator being able to use the tools effectively. I suppose the presentation is consistently charming, if a bit cloyingly saccharine. To be honest, the cardboard-cutout motif just hasn't ever really worked for me. Also, Sackboy just looks itchy and I don't want to touch him. Also also, his name is Sackboy.
