I have taken the advice of some others on this site in regards to my backlog, but Trine was the sacrificial lamb that got me to that point. I played through all of 1, all of 2 except for the extra orc levels, and about half of 3. I touched 4 for a few minutes. The games were very beautiful, and the art style seemed improved and refined more in each title. The music was well-done... it definitely gave off the mysterious vibe that matched the story surrounding the trine, all without being background music or overpowering. I actually enjoyed 3 the most, because even though it was clear they intended specific characters to clear specific sections of the 3d levels, you could sometimes jank your way into a different solution. Sometimes the commitment to specific physics in 3 also made hitting switches/precise parts of a puzzle very difficult in the move to 3 dimensions though. If you and a friend cannot get enough puzzle platforming, then you are in for a treat. If you don't hate either genre, this is a solid collection... just maybe play them at a more reasonable pace.
