The second Trine entry is a side-scrolling puzzle-platformer with a strong emphasis on cooperative play and physics-based mechanics. You control three interchangeable heroes, a knight, a thief, and a wizard, each with unique abilities that you combine to solve puzzles and fight enemies. The formula of this game hasn't changed in the slightest when it comes to the first title, so if you liked the first one then there is little reason not to play this sequel.
The game stands out for its stunning visuals, with lush, fairy-tale environments and vibrant colors that still look impressive today. The puzzles strike a nice balance between creativity and accessibility, especially when played in co-op, though solo play can feel a bit repetitive over time. I unfortunately never played this one in coop, but I did enjoyed playing it as a single-player game, so I also recommend this for lone players. Combat is serviceable but secondary to the platforming and puzzle-solving.
Overall, Trine 2 is a polished, charming, and visually enchanting experience, best enjoyed with friends, it’s not particularly long or difficult, but it delivers a memorable, atmospheric adventure. Not much can be said about the story, but the game do try to …

Overall, Trine 2 is a polished, charming, and visually enchanting experience, best enjoyed with friends, it’s not particularly long or difficult, but it delivers a memorable, atmospheric adventure. Not much can be said about the story, but the game do try to at least start creating an universe of it's own, and subsequent entries also do this, which is nice to see, though at this point it is still an excuse for a plot. I highly recommend this one of you liked the previous entry.
After quite enjoying the first game, I had high expectations for this sequel. Unfortunately, as elegant as the environment this second game was, I had to knock it down by a bit for balancing issues and for not having a particularly meaningful story. I’ll only add about what has changed. I like that they removed the mana/energy bar, although it’s a little dishonest. And I really don't like that the inventory that allowed you to customize the characters was removed too. Artifacts for this genre of games should be a great plus. Nothing really new comes from this sequel. I can't say that I enjoyed this as much as I did the first game. It wasn't bad, though.
Colorfoul 2d platformer with fun mechanics, managing 3 heroes is fun.
The graphics are beautiful. Detailed, varied textures, smooth animation, gorgeous lightning. 3 people co-op play.
This game is a blast to see and play. It achieves what it was setup to do.
-1 star for the confusing menus and the Trine 3 ad when exiting the game.
An extension of Trine (1), nothing new to it. A nice co-op experience.
