When i was a kid i played John Romero's (lol) Dangerous Dave. It's a basic platformer with only 10 levels. To artificially lengthen the game in an asshole manner, they added fake platforms that looked just like normal ones. The only way to know which ones were fake were falling through them and probably dying and thus losing one of your three lives.
Gods Will Be Watching feels a lot like this. It's an point-and-click adventure game that sees you play through several scenarios which you have to survive by making the right choices. But you get almost no guidance, so it seems to be mostly a matter of trial and error. Or maybe i'm just dumb. It's a shame because i do like pretty much everything else about the game.
