Also on that note the control feels a little hard to get a sense of where you'll land attacks or how to engage shoot-y enemies. I'm admittedly quite bad at games like this, (especially off the bat) but overhanging on a ledge for a moving platform to come and pick you up without you even moving is a big NO...

Looks pretty good. Very similar feel to what I remember of Locamalito's free game, The Curse of Issyos albeit with several quality of life improvements such as a good deal of saving, in-level checkpoint system, maybe some item storage, various character upgrades, Install-specific cheevos and hi-scores, and swaps the Greek myth for I guess Nordic myth... First map featured a mini-boss and different routes throughout the level.

Seems like a decent enough game for the switch if you like these NES-era remakes.

The game has some game breaking bugs that fucked me up hard. Flying from the boat to the next screen tirgers the fish boss but cant fight it.

Anyone know if this is a worthwhile Metroidvania? Looks like an homage to early Castlevania, and I wonder if it brings anything other than nostalgia to the table.
