Gears 5 (2019)

More Horde today, got stuck in a match where the final enemy got stuck in the ground. We tried to get the game to reset but as we couldn't do damage to each other we had to bail out. I'm level account level 84. I've gotten exactly one thing I wanted from the rewards. I got 250 iron when I started and spent 200 on a special RIP mark. That's it. Once my booster expires, October 31st. I think I'm done with Multiplayer. I'm not spending any money on Iron or microtransactions and this game seems like it would take forever to get anything good if you don't.

Still playing around 3-5 hours a day in multiplayer. But not sure I'm going to play multiplayer at all after the booster is over. Although, by then I will probably be the level I want and have most of the stuff. Probably.... Most of the unlocks take FOREVER! Also, if you want you can spend $50 on DLC cosmetic unlocks right now. Then you get to spend around $20 every 1-7 days on more cosmetic unlocks. Most of the unlocks you get from playing are either bloodsprays or Marks. Neither of which are very interesting or cool. Also, you can get the same loot from your supply drop multiple times in a row. They just give you scrap for it, as little as 5 pieces at a time. This game is either made for a grind or for you to spend obscene amounts of money on.

So I've played Horde and I've played Escape. Even on the easiest difficulty; In Escape, if one person quits, it SUX. In Horde if more than two quit, it is TERRRIBLE. As near as I can tell the matchmaking system does not drop new people in, NO MATTER WHAT! So my advice is not to be a hero, you will get some credit no matter what. So quit if things are looking hopeless. Also, in Horde, don't quit after the first team wipe. Don't be a scum bag.

So been playing alot of multiplayer(I have a free booster, no sense in wasting it). But I'm also 2/3rds of the way through the campaign. Game plays EXTREMELY well on PC, very well optimized with LOTS of settings to tweak. The game has some bugs, but nothing game breaking. Almost everything can be solved with a reloaded checkpoint or just powering through some wonkiness. But your mileage may vary. Also, the game seems to be having some kind of connection issue that has cropped up for me just last night. It only happens when you first begin playing so it might have to do with the launcher or the PC Game beta shell. Don't know, guess we will see. Had a problem a little similar with Blair Witch(still hasn't recorded my achievements). So it might be the shell.
