Kill It With Fire is a fairly short Hidden Object game with light puzzles that is cleverly disguised as an FPS. The game is a bit silly at first (spiders cannot hurt you and dart back and forth almost impossible to hit as you shoot at them with a rather wide assortment of weapons such as frying pans and 357 magnum destroying everything around you) but after playing it more I began to thoroughly enjoy the game more due to the hidden object dynamic and the unlocks that come with replaying and exploring levels. This is a casual game meant for people who like exploring and looking for secrets. I pretty much 100% it. (It can be completed in about 3 hours probably but i played it for about 7 to unlock everything)

There is no such thing as 'overkill' in KiwF
There is more to this game than appears. Between the upgrades, unlocks and variety of spiders the amount of thought put into this game does deserve some praise. The level design is decent. The ending is something else. There's also a secret ending of sorts.
Light puzzles and hidden object searching for the completionist for unlockable rewards.

I have known some people who hate spiders But this game basically asks the question 'just how much do YOU hate spiders? (Enough to burn the house down maybe to ensure you get rid of them?) This game's premise REALLY made me wonder about that. It's fun (well not really, its a bit alarming) to think of arachnophobia leading towards a kind of fanaticism and that someone might be driven to the point of insanity to comb over their whole house to make sure they aren't hiding somewhere and go on to do the things that this game depicts in it's humorous and not-too-serious-tone. But after playing it, i can't help but wonder!
Were it a bit longer and kept going with the story it established (rather than end on a teaser for a sequel) i would hand down give this imaginative twisted little weaver of a game 5 stars.

To put it simply, I had fun with Kill It With Fire. It’s not going to win any awards for gameplay innovation or being the most revolutionary thing since the discovery of breathing, but that’s okay. It’s a simple game, about killing spiders with whatever you can get your hands on, and that’s okay. I would have liked to see the developers lean a bit more into the environmental destruction, since it just feels like they’re scratching the surface of it and clean up the hit detection of killing the spiders a little bit more - specifically with the guns.. And you got yourself a mindless spiderkilling good time.
Kill It With Fire on Xbox is brilliant. It’s original, preposterous, but more importantly an absolute hoot. It does what few games have the power to, which is put a smile on your face and fill your heart with joy. The only snag is that you’ll never look at a house spider in the same way again.
My main issues are the controls are stiff on a controller and there are nowhere near enough options to fix them on Series X.
I think the game is short but amusing and interesting but trying to 100% with these console controls is a big NAH!
Besides that is a pretty fun and lightly amusing physics shooter / real-time puzzle game. It is for sure worth trying if you have GamePass anyway and was a fun enough little time killer.
This game is ideal to kill some time, you have to kill spiders whith everything from a clipboard to an RPG and more. The game consists of 9 missions so it's pretty short, i completed it to 100% in 5.6 hours. In every stage new kinds of weapons and interesting spiders are added, so it keeps the novelty feeling through the whole 9 missions. It also has arachnophobia settings, wich diminish the presence of the spiders in the game so people who are afraid of spiders can get their revenge without a sweat, and they do feel like a necessity because if you play it without touching those settings, you'll be feeling those little itches that make you wonder if a spider is climbing right up your leg. I gave it 3/5 as a game because of it's casual nature, but as far as games of this kind go, i give it 4.5/5.
I was expecting a dumb game with like 3 levels, instead I got a 10 level spider-smashing adventure with missions, a treasure hunt, diverse weapons, game-modifiers and fun physics. A very satisfactory game.
I really enjoyed the first two levels of this. Excited to play more. Skittering sounds freak me out.
