Would have been an 8 if it wasn't for a few flaws. One of which is that the stat decline is too harsh, which is a shame because it makes sense that if you don't train you'll get worse... but pro fighters wouldn't lose a level of your skills for taking 2 days off. It also gets a little tedious and difficult to get out of the grind on occasion, and it feels like the game kinda favours certain builds, which is a trap that RPGs can fall into sometimes.
But I still love the systems. There are a lot of skills, a lot of management to do--whether it's eating, hanging with the girl, seeing Tyler Durden, working, training, etc-- and it's easy to get addicted to it for a while. The fights are stressful since you don't control them, but it's like you're in the corner so that's cool. It's a surprisingly deep game with a ton of variables, like randomly having to beat up someone robbing a store, and the game does do a good job of introducing new things. It's just bad that it's not always easy to enjoy these because of the routine. But I still dug it, regardless.
