Trying to crawl my way out of a depressive episode. I haven't played anything new in the past month. I have, however, been back in the world of Secret Histories (Cultist Simulator, Book of Hours and other associated media). My library is beautiful. I have nearly every bust in the right place on the staircase.

In other occult media where supernatural influences are a part of the world, I always find myself thinking 'there would be so much science about this'. It is really nice to spend time in a world where the occult has a history (or five), a tradition, a long-standing suppression and a loooot of literature about occult influences. Book of Hours is very far from perfect, but it's time consuming, and it's what I'm playing. Living la vida loca. Missed you guys.

Great atmosphere and writing as always from this dev. The one thing it's missing is to make some enhancements for the comfort of the player. Let us add pins and/or notes to individual cards so that we can better remember stuff we want to do with them, also ideally allow us to include personalized sortings beyond the two default ones (when you press TAB). E.g. if I could pin some of my skills with a black dot and others with a white dot I could easily see which ones I've already commited and which ones I need to level up still, then press TAB to order those groups. That would have made that a much less cumbersome task and I could focus more on the gameplay and flavor instead of having to manually sort stuff. another thing I'd loved to have is the option to click an empty slot and have a menu showing me all the items I have that fit there or at the very least and explanation of what input the slot accepts there. That might have been an intentional design choice but I think an occult theme doesn't mean it has to have overly obscure mechanics. …

The game already demands a lot of your memory and organizing elsewhere.
