This does really feel like the handheld version of the original. It's fun but often feels a bit claustrophobic. The dungeons are fun and the mechanics are nice. I often found battles dragged out and a bit too long. I didn't end up finishing the game since every dungeon felt like a repeat of the same thing, and I wasn't getting invested in the story.
Perhaps its very unfair to compare it to the original, and of course it is, yet it's hard not too. However I do consider it a must play if you liked the OG!
