Guilty Gear Strive Version 2.0 delivers a visually stunning and energetic fighting experience, backed by fluid animation and a powerful rock soundtrack that elevates every match. The refined combat system rewards patience and skill, while modes like training, mission, and combo creation help players gradually find their footing. Features such as the Wall Break mechanic and varied offline content add depth and keep fights feeling fresh.

However, the game demands commitment, both in terms of time and money. New players may feel overwhelmed by the busy on screen action and technical inputs, while the cost of additional characters and online access through PlayStation Plus quickly adds up. It remains an excellent fighter at its core, but one that is easier to recommend to dedicated fans than casual players.

Easy to grasp gameplay for newcomers, Not so easy on visualgasm

Guilty gear Strive is my most played game of 2021 and for good reason, it looks amazing, plays amazing and sounds amazing, seriously, if there's was a game equivalent to spiderverse, this would be it, it's amazing. Guilty gear Strive is my most played game of 2021 and for good reason, it looks amazing, plays amazing and sounds amazing, seriously, if there's was a game equivalent to spiderverse, this would be it, it's amazing. I'm not gonna ramble too much, go read my gg xrd rev 2 review for that, but basically, multiply the amazing visuals by 10, the music by 20, the story by 0.1, and the gameplay by... well, this one is a little tricky. Guilty Gear was always a hard series to get into, it was hard, but rewarding if you put in the effort, guilty gear strive was made to be as easy and welcoming as possible, and if the game's sales are anything to go by, it worked wonders, it's simplified, explained in its amazing tutorial "mission" mode, and the training mode gives you everything you might need to train your combos and have some way to fight back against every situation. The story is strange, even for gg standards, it jumps from plotpoint to plotpoint without giving me a moment to breathe and understand, but I thouroughly enjoyed it simply for how incredible the models are... and how terrible the animation is... oof... harsh one ain't it? I still loved my time with this game despite the simplified gameplay, miniscule cast of characters, and not so good story, and I recommend it for anyone trying to find an opening to get into fighting games without a counter or a burst, good luck! Best moment: Mastering Giovanna. Worst moment: sitting through the tiring and boring story just to get nothing at the end... it gave me depression for a few minutes then I went back to the great gameplay.

Bullshit Blazin

Fun game. Not a huge fan of the soundtrack, but this game and this company continue to set the visual standard for fighting games.(Especially anime fighters). The game has solid combo mechanics, but isn't without its flaws. I still believe that I am more partial to street fighter, but this is definitely my favorite anime fighter to date.

Battling the server

This is my first ever fighting game and I never knew Guilty Gear fans fought with the server as much as they did with other players.
