The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak is the eleventh installment in the main Trails series, serving as the beginning to the Calvard arc. The game follows Van Arkride who is working at Arkride Solutions Office as a Spriggan, a bounty hunting and private detective. He is approached by Agnès Claudel, a high school student and the daughter of Calvard's new president Roy Gramheart to find a type of orbment called Oct-Genesis. The Action Time battle command used in previous installments of the Trails series has been completely revamped. This system swiftly and seamlessly transitions from field battles to command-based turn battles. 80 hour completion. What a game - that said, I don't have any desire at the moment to play Pt2 (I own it) due to the game burning me out late game with its lack of commitment to the final boss. Its annoying that 1 single chapter (the finale) , took over an excess of 2.5x the length of a normal chapter. The game just to me didn't want to commit to 'ending' in the sense that there's a baddie, we beat em, and boom credits. Is it too much to ask for a simple game? Its a phenomenal story and given Trail's record, there's plenty of time to tell a story. No need to rush things. Sadly, I hear the 2nd calvard title (Daybreak 2) is divisive.....

Just beat it, thought i beat it forever ago, underesitimated what "finale" meant unlike alot of games its a full chapter. Not a complaint just a bit misleading for me. Put me in the wrong mindframe so made the last chapter feel a bit slow, once i got back into it i LOVED it, great ending!!

The new battle system was fun! real time action is a good addition ! the UI for xipha tho.. can be confusing at times, which they can keep it simple, too many text and things going on screen.

oh well, it seems time to beat prob give me more than 50 hours ! probably gonna take me 3 weeks . lessgoo

Beat My first playthrough on the offical English Release tonight plan on hoping straight into NG+ for the platnium tommrow, hopefully should only be 1-2 weeks to get ng+ done but I have to wait and see.

Finisshed up my english patch playthrough last night, however now that the English version out I plan on going in and getting the plat for it though I'm not going to do ng nightmare this time I'm saving that for ng+

Beat this last night, It was overall a fantastic game and it werid to have played a game in jpn but it was an experience for sure, my final time was 164 hours (using a VN OCR adds up to a lot of that total if io played on pc with the English paytch starch 60 hours of that). Now im taking a trails break till Azure in March and it will be very needed as i feel the burnout.

On Chapter 5, should finish this up this week or next, then it onto Star Ocean The Divine Force (most likely) or persona 3 portable (depends if i finish it before it pops on game pass.

Finally on my school break till mid-January. I am on chapter 1 at the moment and I could not get a VN OCR to work so I went with google lens for the translation which is doing its job well (doing NPC dialogue too is an excellent thing just having to do it after the dialogue happens because it either that or do it for every line and it more convenient to do it after the fact). I have not done much combat but the changes have been very good, and I am excited to get into it more.
