Another weird choice is the design of the icons. There is an icon with an arrow turning around and one with a boomerang. The ability to turn around is activated with the boomerang, the barrel roll with the turning arrow. It's needlessly confusing.
The rest of the gameplay is rather dull as well. Enemy planes show up, you shoot them down and new planes show up. Even the aiming is boring, you don't seem to need to lead your shots.
Red Wings does have decent production value but this obviously cannot compensate for the bad gameplay. I wouldn't recommend this if you (also) got it for free, let alone pay €17 (!!) for it.
