This randomizing game of post- apocalyptical survival combines scarce resource management with a tactical running away (or towards?) mechanic. Clean, minimal graphics and sounds that are full of ambiance, sadness and dread.
What a lovely little gem with a very indie-feeling ending.
While the "action point" mechanics and aliens remind me of xcom, those are the only similarities.
There no hit % chance, it’s more like chess, where you can plan many moves ahead.
This game focuses heavily on positional tactics, avoiding combat if possible and trying to survive by constantly scavenging because of very limited inventory capacity.
Just completed the game on the 2nd try (default difficulty mode)
It’s short but addictive and keeps the tension high.
Finding new items in this game was fun, because items here have unique uses and limited inventory makes you think about what to take and what (or who) is left behind.
There are dogs as playable characters. You can pet them. 🐕
Figuring out the different monsters behaviour and game’s mechanics is fun and straightforward.
Mistakes in this game can ruin your run, but on default difficulty you can undo some actions or restart a level. But nevertheless, you always feel 2 mistakes away from snowballing into gameover, which I like.
Will replay again later on hard, probably. Harder difficulty brings new challenges to keep it fresh.

P.S. I’m from Ukraine and couple of months ago, had to pack my most important belongings into a backpack and a carry-on bag and hop into a car to leave the capital, to avoid getting hit by Russian bombs. This game kinda feels familiar: pack your limited car space with the most important stuff and drive away as far as possible. Also kinda reminds me of FTL or Crying Suns in that aspect, because you're also constantly fleeing from some danger there.

Like a modern, post-apocalyptic take on Oregon Trail. It seems like the sort of game that will take you a lot of attempts to finally eke out a win, but even on a good run you'll never feel secure the whole time - you definitely don't have the time or resources to be greedy.
Graphics look clean, UI is simple but functional. Not really a genre I play a lot of, and the difficulty was a little too high for me personally, but there was enough here to catch my interest nonetheless and it's definitely something to check out if you like the genre.
Hm, why doesn't this game get any attention here? It's quite close to "Into The Breach". Turn based strategic combat where each level feels like a puzzle to be solved.
Also, loving the variety of items and their uses.
And finally, the roguelike aspect is optional: you can undo missclicks, restart levels or start a new game from a chapter you've reached before.
So it doesn't make you replay early levels, which is great.
Totally got me hooked on my first session for 4 hours.
