Citybuilder for People Who Don't Always Love Citybuilders

This took over my entire weekend. Got it in the Steamworld Bundle on sale($20 for basically every Steamworld game is an absolute steal btw) and got really addicted. This took over my entire weekend. Got it in the Steamworld Bundle on sale($20 for basically every Steamworld game is an absolute steal btw) and got really addicted. I really liked the combination of citybuilder above ground, and mining for unique resources underground. There is an end goal, so I did technically beat it. They have various maps and a few modifiers if you want to play multiple times, but I think the one playthrough satisfied me. Took 10ish hours to get through.

Cortito y simple, pero disfrutón

Todos los Steam world son maravillosos. Este mantiene la esencia y se deja disfrutar, pero he echado en falta más historia. Le echaré una segunda run con mayor dificultad, a ver qué tal.

Solidly Built

Very solid for what it is. Just not a ton of variability or depth. Played through twice and thoroughly enjoyed the 20 hours I spent. Not really much reason to go back for a third run though.

Short but Sweet

short but fun, the space available was always JUST enough so it kept you on your toes but didnt overwhelm...came close to losing a few times

Breezy great time

I play every Steamworld on launch day, and they don't disappoint!

Easy and simple for the genre, but perfect for the 8 hours it took on balanced. As always a polished bite sized version of what they tackle, this time city management AND dungeon-keeper style strategy.

I can't wait to try hard mode, but it could both improve my opinion on the complexity, or frustrate, so we'll see! At the very least there seems to be a variety of locales to choose from which slightly change a buff you receive and supposedly vary the visuals, but I'm not expecting anything crazy.

I wish the story was more present tho, as it stands, it's barely 5 or 6 conversations at specific upgrade points, and having played all the games (and enjoying the connections in their universe) it is intriguing but just not enough.
