Snake's Revenge is a stealth action-adventure game developed by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Serving as a standalone sequel to Metal Gear, it was released in North America and the PAL region, capitalising on the international success of the NES version. Notably, this instalment was created without the involvement of series creator Hideo Kojima. Meanwhile, Kojima went on to develop a separate sequel for the MSX2 titled Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, which debuted later in the same year in Japan.

Preliminary: Okay... interesting. A Metal Gear game I've never heard of. The music is great so far but the line of sight abuse is obnoxious right off the start. Like I walk into one of the first areas in the game and a helicopter spawns exactly where I am and therefore I am caught? Makes sense. I didn't even have the chance to be stealthy lol. And it all is so clunky the line of sight is not as logical as in the earlier MSX game and the spotlight collision masks are so wonky.

I just want to get into the first building and see if it gets better. This spotlight sequence is a terrible way to start a game. Nothing fun about it. And the siren/warning sound is so annoying. I'm on the final of the outside screens so fingers crossed this stops being awful. Good thing the music is so good. I'm finally in the first building and will continue this tomorrow

Day 2

Yea no this is as bad as people said. All the worst aspects of the NES port of Metal Gear with much worse level design
