2/10 - Terrible
TL;DR - The origins of the now-famous GTA series. It is a top-down open-world game that has you performing different types of crimes, but it has aged so poorly that I found it impenetrable. It gets the award for being the first game I've ever dropped.

TL;DR - The origins of the now-famous GTA series. It is a top-down open-world game that has you performing different types of crimes, but it has aged so poorly that I found it impenetrable. It gets the award for being the first game I've ever dropped.

OPEN-WORLD ACTION - Players assume the role of a criminal working for various crime syndicates across three fictional cities—Liberty City, San Andreas, and Vice City.
PROS:
++ Music. The music on offer is quite catchy actually!
++ Scale. For a PS1 game, I do find the scale of the game to be impressive.
++ Origin. There's a lot of things I saw in the game that are still core to the series today. So that was pretty neat.
CONS:
-- Controls. The controls aged terribly, and makes playing the game straight up unbearable. Everything feels so sluggish.
-- One-hit kill. You get shot once, you're wasted. And if a cop catches you, you're immediately busted. It's just too punishing for me to have any fun.
-- No maps. Good luck knowing where to go. I spent so much time driving in circles because all I can rely on is this stupid arrow on top of the screen. You practically have to memorize the entire game's map to be able to have fun with this game.
