Less There than I Remember

Man, nostalgia makes this so hard to objectively rate for people. I remember telling my friends to "meet me on Club Penguin after school", giving them a specific time and location so we could find each other. I remember spending ages on the pizza minigame, sledding, doing the PSA/EPF missions, the colour-your-adventure books upstairs in the Ski Lodge, ice fishing...

Then again, when I really think about it, there wasn't much... substance there? Every time I tried to go back to it as a teenager or an adult I couldn't find anything fun to do anymore. It was definitely one of those childhood "you had to be there" kind of games.

The Card-Jitsu game still fucks, though. I'd absolutely play that again.

One of the first PC games I went deep with. I had multiple accounts, but I had finally settled with 'cody409' even tho none of those correlated with me. The game was spectacular for children, and had in-game events when some Disney movie or show would release. Same for just some random ones that would appear for holiday seasons and other things. Unlike Animal Jam they knew how to control their premium membership with just becoming a member. Yeah you had a lot less stuff than the Members, but it was a lot and enough to spend hours on the game everyday. It's a shame they shut it down for the lesser game, Club Penguin Island. This will always a have a nice little spot in the back of my head, maybe nostalgia is shrouding how it really was, but I loved it. 3.7 - 4 Stars
