This and Donkey Kong Bananza are currently cornering the market for me on having kid characters that are endearing and likeable and substantive... it's so easy for children to be depicted in games as a whiny nuisance with no nuance, and given this is a horror series (and a visual novel at, which can often be flat-out disgusting about their presentation of children) I was a bit concerned going in, but it manages its characterization well so far. Rika is my favourite, she's adorable!
