I was under the impression this was going to be a pleasnat suprise for some reason becuase its popular. This game is terrible and I dont know who it's meant for. Maybe its meant for people in the UK who rent or dont have yards and it provides for some "Fascination" of what that is like.
The concept is okay. You get a lawnmower and you start a service. and you can upgrade your stuff, do maintence, etc as you run a business. Ohhh ,standard janky sim formula I love. Where does it go wrong?
For starters. The game has this really difficult control scheeme. There is only stop and go, but if you chop the grass too fast or too much you damage your blade for some reason and cause increased wear over time.. It's not as imple as going over in half passes but that helps. Thje real trouble is what the damn camera does. It yoinks itself straight up into the trees to show fuck all as you ram into barriers and get fines for killing dailies. Unforgivable.
The other problem is its SO HARD TO SEE THE GRASS. After spending a solid hour on the first …

The other problem is its SO HARD TO SEE THE GRASS. After spending a solid hour on the first mission finding that last 5% of uncut grass i found myself not having a good time and saw no reason to continue. The visisibly and tree camera angle are SO EASY TO FIX Too. Just make the grass darker and dont jerk my camera around. But even if these things were fixed I dont see myself having fun here or getting ito it. It's not really interesting or educational like Fishing Barent's Sea, nor is it adventurous or relaxing the way sailing around was. This is you going around in cricles 20 times hunting for a pixel, lol.

We used to fight over having to mow the lawn. Now I'm in the same house, virtually cutting peoples yards, while a robot outside cuts mine...What the hell happened? Anyway, Lawn Mowing Simulator was added to PS+ recently and I've been spending my mornings building my small business; OG Bush Inc.
Gameplay is lazy, stupid and fun for a couple of hours, tops. But, so is lawn mowing, so what'd'u'expect? There's a bunch of upgradeable equipment, vehicles and facilities to work your way towards, but it's just dead tedious to spend the last 45 minutes of a job finding your remaining GRASS STRAWS at 99.8% like a moron.
I bought the Dino Safari DLC, also like a moron, and while it did enhance my enjoyment having to trim grass between the legs of an euoplocephalus, it was just more of the same. These simulators are getting out of hand.

20 min lawn mowing until 95% 3h lawn mowing to 99.5%. The game consist in finding what you forgot to cut. That's a strange concept. I think barber simulator would be funnier. But i'm not sure...
I don't find it enjoyable at all. I can tell you that it’s not as satisfying as PowerWash Simulator.
As I diligently work my way through the Dead Space remake trophy list - the trophies are worthwhile and add to the replay value for a change - I'm breaking up my time with Lawn Mowing Simulator.
What a strange game. Upon starting the application, the player is met with cringy Americana rock and roll music, yet the game looks to take place in the UK, with money being measured in pounds and all the vehicles having their driver side switched to what would be the American passenger side. A bit anachronistic.
It also takes itself a little too seriously. This isn't really just a game for fun or relaxation, though the core gameplay is arguably very much centered around those things. Instead, you've got a company to manage. That means maintaing equipment, hiring and firing employees, taking out loans and repaying them, etc. I can commend the developers for committing so strongly to the idea of a simulated lawn mowing game, but personally think it would have benefitted a bit more from going the Power Wash Simulator route.
It's a time sink, too. Jobs take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour for me to complete because I'm especially …

I don't know how long I'll stick with it, but it's pretty enjoyable so far, when I'm doing the actual mowing and not the menu bullshit in between jobs.
